What Causes Bone Loss?

• Delayed tooth replacement: When lost teeth are not replaced promptly, the bone can begin to resorb.

How is Bone Regeneration Performed?

There are various methods and protocols to address bone loss. The process we follow depends on the patient’s specific case. Typically, we use an autogenous graft (bone taken from the patient’s own body) or another type of graft.

1. Graft Application: The graft is applied to the area needing treatment. This step is crucial for creating new bone.
2. Membrane Coverage: Often, the graft is covered with a resorbable or non-resorbable membrane for protection and to aid regeneration.
3. Regeneration Time: Over three to nine months, new bone develops and is ready for dental implant placement.
